The Carrabelle History Museum is located in the downtown building that served as City Hall for 75 years. A true community museum, its collection was built from local donations of family pictures, genealogy, memories, home life and work items. Covering the culture of this coast starts with Carrabelle’s native peoples from thousands of years ago, on into the struggles of the Civil War, the coming of the railroads, the working waterfront, established families and local heroes. A special exhibit features the Steamship Tarpon, a key component to the town’s development in the early 1900's. Research and genealogy files are available. Hours: Thursday to Saturday from 10 AM to 5 PM and by appointment.
